Several conditions made this a particularly
challenging project:
- The site is very remote, several hundred miles from the nearest large city (Missoula)
- Lake levels vary widely over the year, up to 100' elevation change.
- Painting season is short with severe winters. High winds always possible.
- Truss cross section varies and is up to 65' high at the piers
- Rigid environmental regulation, project administered by Forest Service.
Certified met the challenge, completing the project on-time, within budget and
without any discharges or violations at the drinking water reservoir.
